Professional Registration

I am a professionally qualified and registered Social Worker, registered with:

Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)
CORU – Ireland’s Health and Social Care Professionals Regulator

My professional practice is guided by the standards, values and codes of conduct associated with these regulatory bodies.

I maintain my professional knowledge and skills through ongoing learning, reflective practice and continuing professional development.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is central to my practice.

I am committed to promoting the safety, wellbeing and dignity of children, young people and adults and to responding appropriately where safeguarding concerns arise.

I hold an Enhanced AccessNI check and work in accordance with my professional responsibilities and safeguarding procedures.

Confidentiality & Data Protection

Your privacy is important.

I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and take appropriate steps to ensure that personal and sensitive information is handled securely, lawfully and respectfully.

  • identifying and managing potential conflicts of interest;

  • engaging in professional supervision and continuing professional development; and

  • regularly reviewing my practice, policies and procedures.

Where appropriate, additional professional consultation or independent review may be used to support the quality and integrity of complex work.

I believe professional accountability is about more than meeting regulatory requirements. It means being open about how I work, recognising the limits of my professional role and being prepared to reflect, learn and improve.

Clear policies and procedures are maintained in relation to safeguarding, confidentiality, data protection, complaints and professional practice.

I welcome constructive feedback and am committed to addressing concerns fairly, respectfully and transparently.
